  6. This is my library of routines for date calculations.
  7. It is written in strict ANSI-C and C++!
  8. Date was originally developed on an accelerated Amiga 2000 with SAS C/C++ 6.55.
  9. It was tested on an 386 with Borland C++ 4.5 and on some Sun workstations
  10. with gcc without problems :)
  11. Now I included my TextEngine in this distribution.

  13. Features:
  14.   - Support for six different date/time measurement systems:
  15.     Julian, Gregorian, Heis, Julian Day, Modified Julian Day, Scaliger Year
  16.     (other systems will follow).
  17.   - Month/Weekday and other date/time string support for 12 languages.
  18.   - Support for different countries (implementation not finished!).
  19.   - Calculating leap years.
  20.   - Functions to calculate the days of a month or a year or
  21.     between two dates.
  22.   - Functions to calculate the weeknumber and the weekday.
  23.   - Check the validity of a date.
  24.   - Calculating Easter.
  25.   - Comparing dates.
  26.   - Powerfull functions to handle differences between dates.
  27.   - Transformations from one time measurement system to the others.
  28.   - Calculating your local time zone out of your position on the earth.
  29.   - Calculating the age of the moon and the moon phase.
  30.   - Check the validity of a time.
  31.   - Comparing times.
  32.   - Transforming 24h time format into seconds and back.
  33.   - Transforming 24h time format to Julian Day time format and back.
  34.   - Powerfull textengine for creating date/time strings in different languages,
  35.     that supports nearly all features of the date library.
  36.   - A C++ class concept, which makes it very easy to use the complex
  37.     functionality of the date library.
  38.   - Autodoc describing all functions in the library.
  39.   - Including ANSI-C/C++ sources and test example.
